Your Epitaph is Being Written By Vanessa Marks

Luke 1:30-33
And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.  And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.  He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:  And he shall reign over the house of Jacob forever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.

Luke 1:38
And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word.  And the angel departed from her.

In this season, we hear special songs, the mention of angels and the coming of the baby Jesus lying in a manger.  The Catholic churchgoers hear the teaching of Advent during this month. Advent means the arrival of a notable person, thing, or event, coming into place, view, or being, occurrence, dawn of a new day, birth, or development.
It’s time to remind one another to set aside our agendas and quietly reflect on the promise of the baby Jesus born in Bethlehem over 2000 years ago.  Today, let’s focus on 2020 and what this season can be for us today.
People everywhere and of all denominations, this is a time of coming forth in a new day, in a new way of living since COVID-19. We should be preparing ourselves for the coming of the Lord in us, developing more Christ-like behaviors. This is a time to focus and evaluate our walk with God.

Are you the light of the world?
Are you birthing spiritual qualities for the next generation?
Are you the son of God that Jesus will be looking for when HE comes back?

Advent season is about notable people appearing in this season. Not taking anything away from the birth of Jesus and Mary’s testimony.  But, her testimony shall speak to us.
We need mothers who will multiply. We need mothers who will not be barren but rather give BIRTH to what is needed in this time.  We need mothers to ARISE and COME FORTH. We need Mothers to come back to the church.  Mothers who will be wives, sisters, daughters, aunts, nieces, cousins, and friends. We need women who are like Mary, Elizabeth, Anna, Deborah, and Miriam.  Willing women crowned with great honor who will build, push, and develop in the lives of others what God placed in them.
We need mothers to give birth, not just to the spiritual matters of the Church. but also modern-day issues with biblical principles that are not being discussed in many churches today. For example, marriage, dating, the value of human life, and how to speak masculinity into the males in one’s family―just to name a few.
Mary’s life never robbed Jesus of His glory. Her mission was to witness the glory of the Son of God.   We should be a witness to the glory also. We can be a better witness than Mary because we have the written Word, we have the testimonies of all the forefathers, and we have the personality of Jesus in the Holy Spirit alive in us by faith.
Mary was a servant of Jesus, not just His mother.  She was there with Him and received great rewards for being a witness of Him.  Her testimony is being told and read from generation to generation. This is a season of the promise of Jesus coming. His coming is with an abundance of peace, joy, and goodwill to all men.
Your EPITAPH is being written.  Let what God has deposited in you, be a gift to all men in this season. May God bless you with peace in your home and joy in your heart.
